Translation Connectors plugin for Wordpress

Translation Connectors offers the easiest way to translate your Wordpress pages and posts into any language in a few clicks.

Installation

    1. For Translation Connectors plugin to work, you need to install the Polylang plugin first: https://wordpress.org/plugins/polylang/. Install and activate Polylang plugin on the Plugins page.
    2. Install the Translation Connectors plugin manually in the WordPress dashboard: https://wordpress.org/plugins/translation-connectors/.  
    3. Activate the Translation Connectors plugin. After activation you’ll see a Translation Connectors item in you left menu.
    4. Create a Translation Company or Company account in Smartcat: https://www.smartcat.ai.
    5. Go to the API page and generate an API key.
    6. Your API credential for Wordpress are:
      Account ID = login
      Api Key = password
    7. Back in Wordpress, go to the plugin’s settings page (Translation Connectors → Settings) and enter your API credentials. Don’t forget saving your changes.

    8. If you have any vendors connecting to your Smartcat account, you will able to choose them after credentials saving.
    9. You’re all set! The world is waiting for your content, so go ahead and translate it in a simple and quick way:
      • Select one or several posts.
      • Send them to the translation service by clicking the Submit for translation button or choosing the appropriate bulk action.
      • Select one or several target languages and submit post for translation. You can see the translation progress on the progress page (Translation Connectors → Translation progress) and you can always rebuilt statistics using Refresh statistics button.
      • The list of languages is managed via Polylang (Languages → Languages):
      • Select one or several posts.
      • Send them to the translation service by clicking the Submit for translation button or choosing the appropriate bulk action.
      • Select one or several target languages and submit post for translation. You can see the translation progress on the progress page (Translation Connectors → Translation progress) and you can always rebuilt statistics using the Refresh statistics button.
      • The list of languages is managed via Polylang (Languages → Languages):

      • Once the translation is completed, a new draft will appear containing the translated text.
